INDIANAPOLIS — Solomon Salama, from Keystone’s JAT Sport Juniors league, captured the 2016 Junior Gold championship in the U15 boys division last Saturday in Indianapolis. The Junior Gold Championship is an annual national tournament for the top male and female youth bowlers in the United States. Solomon, who at age 13 appears to be just getting started, defeated Nick Archacki 417-409 in the two-game final match. The key for Solomon? “I told myself just to make my spares, because I knew the strikes would follow,” Salama said in a Bowl.com article on the champions.

In the U15 boys division, Julian Zavala made it to the Final Advancers Round, just missing match play by 18 pins, finishing 18th overall. In the U12 girls division, Alli Azvedo made it to the Advancers Round, finishing 15th overall.
