How time flies! Flashback to last year we were thrilled to hear Zack won not one but three JBT (Junior Bowlers Tour) honors—Bowler of the Year (All Conference); Handicap All Star (Mojave Conference); and Handicap Bowler of the Year (Southern CA Conference).
This year the JBT Banquet was held at The Terrace in Las Vegas on Sun., July 10 and since Zack was already in Vegas to compete in the TPC (Touring Players Championships), he attended. Zack, who just turned 17, said he “got an unexpected and very appreciated award” as he was selected the Scratch Rookie of the Year for the Mojave Conference! This JBT season Long won one title and that was at the Tournament of Non-Champions at Let it Roll Lanes in Phoenix, AZ on June 19th. But, add to that, Zack rolled a 300 game at Antelope Lanes in Prescott, AZ, competing in a JBT tournament on March 27th. So even though he didn’t collect a lot of titles this season, he was making a good showing and obviously noticed! He averaged 195 this season in JBT which has their bowlers bowl on different patterns every weekend in competition. In contrast, here locally bowling in his Youth league, he booked 213.
Zack ended with “What an amazing season this has been. Man, I can’t wait for the next one!! Huge thank you to Jeff Hemer and Jerod Florez for all of your hard work throughout every season of JBT. This wouldn’t be possible without you guys!”
Congratulations, Zack!
